The Boston Red Sox hope to continue their success against and domination of the Anaheim Angels with their strong armed staff.  Jon Lester will open the series for Boston on Thursday night against Angels ace John Lackey.  Josh Beckett is penciled in to start game two followed by Clay Buchholz for game three.

The Angels bring a load of offensive fire power to the table again, but history has been all about Boston.  Once the post season kicks in, the Red Sox arms have been strong enough to bring the Angels down to earth. The Sox players have stated they like their chances in this series and if you listen to all the pundits and analysts everywhere it seems as if they like Boston's chances also.  I know I do!

This was the scene last Friday night in the Bronx. Red Sox south-paw ace, Jon Lester, had just been struck by a line drive off of what first appeared to be his right knee, possibly a season-ending, if not a career-ending injury.  It was a "shot" heard 'round Red Sox Nation. It was a shot that struck fear into all of their hearts. It was a shot that brought about thoughts of a return of the "Curse of the Bambino".
