Boston Globe (Mike Reiss)  Updated Visit List Includes Curtis Lofton, Patrick Lee, Vernon Gholston, Glenn Dorsey, Aqib Talib, Dominique Rodgers Cromartie

The Patriots are hosting Oklahoma linebacker Curtis Lofton and Auburn Cornerback Patrick Lee on pre-draft visits at Gillette Stadium this week. The 6-foot, 246-pound Lofton would project to inside linebacker in the Patriots' 3-4 scheme. Among pure linebackers, he is listed as the second-rated prospect by the Pro Football Weekly draft preview and described as someone who "personifies what it means to be a football player."  At 6-feet, 194 pounds, Lee is considered one of the sturdier corners in this year's class. The Pro Football Weekly draft preview describes him as having a good size-speed ratio, and lists him as the fifth-rated defensive back in the draft.  The Patriots hosted Ohio State's Vernon Gholston on a pre-draft visit at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday.  Expected to be a top 10 pick, Gholston (6-3, 266) would project as an outside linebacker in the Patriots' base 3-4 defense, potentially improving the team's pass rush. He could also play in a two-point stance in sub packages.  As the NFL Network's Adam Schefter points out in this piece on NFL.com, the Patriots are hosting several highly touted prospects before the draft -- a group that includes Tennessee State cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib, and LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey.
