Boston Herald (John Tomase)  Darren McFadden To Hook Up With Patriots

During an interview with the NFL Network, top running back prospect Darren McFadden of Arkansas indicated he had either a private workout, or visit scheduled with four teams, including the Patriots.  Also on the list were the Jets, who pick 6th just ahead of the Pats, the Rams, who pick 2nd, and the Raiders, who pick 4th.  The Pats are likely doing their due diligence in preparing their draft board. If McFadden is still there at No. 7, which is unlikely, it would be interesting to see what Bill Belichick, Scott Pioli & Co. do.

Hume's Pure Speculation:  You can call this piece a poor excuse to get hits, or you can chalk it up as NESB providing full coverage of Darren McFadden's visit to Gillette. You be the judge.  While searching for images of New England's potential 7th pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, I stumbled upon photos from the Heisman Campaign Trail of 07!  I don't know about you but I can't picture Mr. Kraft promoting McFadden for Rookie Of The Year in this fashion.  While we are at it let's trade for Pacman Jones.  The Rumor Mill claims that talks have stalled between Dallas and the Titans.  We are not talking about boy scouts or the local CCD football squad here!  Revenge is calling!  Heck, Destiny is calling!  Do we all want a 4th Super Bowl Title or do we want the best bunch of guys ever to strap on pads and continue to "wait til next year".  Alright already, that's enough ranting out of me!
