celts_and_bobcatsThe Boston Celtics lost in overtime to the Charlotte Bobcats 114-106 in Charlotte following a loss to the hapless Knicks in New York. Teams seemed to have found a formula to stay in games and compete as of late against the world champs. Put some serious heat on Rajon Rondo and tonight the Bobcats forced him into committing nine turnovers. That's way too much and he needs to be more careful with the rock or get rid of it earlier. They will hit the film room hard to correct this sudden phase of disaster. It wasn't only him Paul Pierce's turnover in OT proved to be costly as well.

Pierce hit for 28 points while Ray Allen had 20 with Kevin Garnett snaring 13 boards and contributing 14 points but their missing way to many open looks. They may be in their heads and pressing but teams who can run with Boston can beat Boston. They are losing must win games and this can't be good for their confidence even though they will never admit to that.

Teams are sticking out their chests and mixing it up with Boston and their usual stifling defense is suffering for it. Offense is not their problem but turnovers lead to losses. The Bobcats are the worst shooting team in the league and there is no way they should be be putting up 114 on the C's no way.

Glen Davis took a hard foul from Juwan Howard who thinks he is a bully and I never cared for the guy. My Hat goes off to Davis for not decking him.

This team should have won this game but let it get away from them in the fourth when they were leading. Last year they were finishing off teams early and I think guys are a bit banged up from the physical play they have been facing every game. Last year they caught a lot of teams sleeping so this year they will have to fix it in a hurry and get back to concentrating on their great defense and stop getting into brawls. Their playing to the level of their opponent when last season it was take no prisoners. They'll fix it, just give them time to heal up and remember how they became the world champions.
