The Boston Bruins have suffered their fourth straight loss after getting beaten in Nashville 3-2. David Legwand of the Predators had two scores before the Bruins Blake Wheeler brought them to within one and Zdeno Chara was able to force overtime with his goal with only less than two minutes left in the game.
Neither team was able to score in the overtime period so a shootout ensued and it was Legwand who made the deciding goal.
Bruins coach Clade Julien made it known he doesn't particularly like the style of Western Conference play calling it "a little more open" but he was happy his team received a point in the standings. The Bruins are ailing at the moment and keeping games close but have been unable to finish as of late.
They are off until Tuesday when they will travel to Carolina to face off against the Hurricanes. The small break may be just what the doctor ordered.
